Famn

Sign In

Should I use the same sign-in method every time?
Yes. If you signed up with Google, sign in with Google. If you signed up with Apple, use Apple again.

Switching methods can create a separate account, so it’s best to pick one sign-in method and stick with it.
How do I sign in to Famn?

On the welcome screen, tap Sign In. Famn opens a secure login page where you can enter the email and password you used before, or sign in with the same social provider you used to create the account.

Once you’re confirmed, you’ll be brought back into the app and dropped on your Dashboard. Famn usually keeps you signed in between sessions.

Onboarding

What do I need to set up during onboarding?
Onboarding has three steps. First, you enter your profile details like your first name, and sometimes your email.

Next, you create your first Space by choosing a type and name. Finally, you choose whether to continue with the free plan or upgrade to Premium.
What happens the first time I sign in to Famn?
The first time you sign in, Famn starts a short three-step onboarding flow.

You’ll set up your profile, create your first Space, and choose Free or Premium. When you finish, Famn takes you to your Dashboard.

Google

Can I use Google or Apple to sign in to Famn?

Yes. From the welcome screen, you can choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple when available.

The first time you use one of these options, Famn creates an account from the name and email on that provider. After that, using the same button signs you back in.

Sign Up

How do I create a Famn account?

On the welcome screen, tap Sign Up. A secure sign-up page opens in your browser, where you can enter your email and choose a password, or use Google or Apple if available.

After you confirm your details, you’ll be returned to Famn automatically and taken into onboarding.

Why can I not find the products I am looking for?
We are constantly working to add more products. The products available in the app are mainly added by you as users. If the product does not exist, you can scan the barcode on the product and then fill out the form that appears, add the product. After an approval, the product will be available to everyone in the app. Famn's product engine also searches for products based on this barcode you scanned, and if this product is found in open APIs, this product will be added. If the quality of the information about the product is not satisfactory, you will have a dialogue about adding missing information
Why is this an app?
Busy days in a family belong, where the dinner is to be planned, the food is to be bought, the kids are to be picked up and delivered to leisure activities and who has a birthday when? I myself have encountered challenges when all this has to be organized, there are quickly many apps on the phone, reminders on the fridge and notes that disappear. That's why I have developed Famn, the app that will help solve everyday challenges and gather the logistics in the home in one place.

How do I share a shopping list?
To share a shopping list in Famn, you need to share the site where the list is located. Go to "Settings," then "Spaces," select the site you want to share, and tap "Invite user." If your site is private, you can change its type to match your sharing needs, such as "Family" or "Household."

How do shared spaces work?
In Famn, everything is organized within a Space, which stands for a household or group. When you invite others to join your Space, everyone gets access to the same shopping lists, tasks, calendars, and chats. Any updates or changes made by one member are immediately visible to all members of the Space.
Can multiple people use the same shopping list?
Yes, multiple people can use the same shopping list in Famn. Shopping lists are updated in real time, so when anyone adds or checks off an item, all members in the space see the changes immediately. This helps everyone stay coordinated and prevents duplicate or missed purchases.
Does Famn support meal planning?
Yes, Famn allows you to plan your meals for the week, organize your recipes, and automatically create a shopping list with the ingredients you need. This helps you prepare dinners and shop more efficiently.
Can Famn help manage chores and tasks?
Yes, Famn lets you create shared to-do lists, assign tasks to household members, and set up recurring chores such as weekly cleaning or taking out the trash. It also keeps a record of completed tasks.
Can I track spending from shopping trips?
Yes, you can track your spending from shopping trips in Famn. By attaching receipts or completing shopping sessions, Famn records your purchases and how much you spent. If you have a Premium subscription, you'll also get access to more detailed insights and trends about your shopping over time.
Can I use Famn on more than one device?
Yes, you can use Famn on iPhone, Android, tablets, and desktop browsers. Your information stays synced across all devices, and you can access your account from any of them.
How do I cancel my Famn Premium subscription?
Famn Premium subscriptions are managed through either the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you first subscribed. To cancel, you need to use the same platform where you started your subscription.

Your Premium features will stay active until the end of your current billing period, even after you cancel.

To cancel on iPhone or iPad (Apple App Store):
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your Apple ID name at the top.
3. Tap 'Subscriptions.'
4. Find and tap 'Famn.'
5. Tap 'Cancel Subscription.'
6. Confirm your cancellation.

To cancel on Android (Google Play Store):
1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
3. Tap 'Payments & subscriptions.'
4. Tap 'Subscriptions.'
5. Select 'Famn.'
6. Tap 'Cancel subscription.'
7. Follow the confirmation steps.

You will keep access to Premium features until your current subscription period ends.
