Loyalty Cards
The bonus card is in the other jacket; the phone rarely is. Save your store loyalty cards in Famn once and the whole household has them. Finish a shopping trip in a store you have a card for and Famn shows the card by itself, ready to scan at the till.
Loyalty cards are free for everyone.
Your Cards
Open Food and tap Loyalty cards. Each card shows the chain's colour and logo, the barcode, and its validity dates if it has any. Tap a card to show it full size; press and hold to delete it.
Adding a Card
Tap +. On the Add New Loyalty card screen:
- Give it a Card Name, for example "Trumf" or "Coop – Mia".
- Pick the Store Chain. The chain gives the card its colour and logo, and it is how Famn knows which card belongs to which store when you shop.
- Leave Is shareable with your space members on if the household should be able to use the card. Switch it off for a card that is yours alone.
- Add the code, either by tapping Scan Barcode/QR Code and pointing the camera at the physical card, or with Upload screenshot to read the code from a screenshot of the store's app. If the code cannot be read from the image, the image itself is saved with the card so you can still show it.
- Tap Save Loyalty card.
There is no field for typing the number by hand; scan the card or use a screenshot. Clear removes a scan so you can try again.
Showing a Card at the Till
Tap the card. Famn turns the screen brightness up, keeps the screen awake and lets you turn the phone sideways so the barcode is as large and sharp as possible. Brightness goes back to normal when you leave.
The Card at the End of a Shopping Trip
When you shop with a shopping session and end the trip in a store whose chain you have a card for, Famn opens that card straight away, at full brightness, so you can hand the phone to the cashier without searching. Close it and the brightness returns to normal.
For this to work, the card's Store Chain must match the store you chose when the trip started, and the card must be shareable if someone else in the household started the trip.
Tips
- Name cards by person when you have several. "Coop – Mia" and "Coop – Alex" are easier to tell apart than two cards called "Coop".
- Use a screenshot for app-only cards. Many chains show the barcode in their own app; a screenshot of it is enough.
- Share the cards the household uses. A shared card means whoever is in the store gets the points.
